Spring is indeed coming and we couldn’t be happier. Why? It means more outdoor time, and if all goes well, more fellowship with brothers and sisters of the leaf.
This month, we’ve curated a playlist that we hope invigorates your enthusiasm for spring. We took it way back and included artists that embodied “cool” and “style.” They also embody class and timelessness. It’s music that our parents probably listened to and music that influences what we listen to now.
We begin the playlist with the Ramsey Lewis Trio’s The “In” Crowd and end it with Al Jarreau’s I Will Be Here for You (Nitakungodea Milele). In between, you will listen to Sonny Rollins, Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone, and Virginia’s own James “Saxsmo” Gates (and more).
We created a mood, an entire mood. You can smoke by your fire pit to this music, work to this music, and think to this music. Maybe you will even talk to this music. Sit with someone from the old school and give them the gift of this playlist and your time.
Spring is coming. And we hope you enjoy every minute of it and this playlist.
